Welcome to the South Lakes FASD Support group web site. South Lakes FASD Support was founded to create a local peer-to-peer support group for those who care for anyone with pre-natal alcohol exposure, FAS (feotal alcohol syndrome) or FASD (feotal alcohol spectrum disorder).

Carers from across Cumbria and North Lancashire are very welcome to come and join our group. Some carers have a diagnosis for those whom they support, others don’t, but they suspect that their charges have FASD, because of the circumstances surrounding their birth.

Birth parents, adoptive parents, foster carers, kinship carers and Special Guardians are all welcome to join us.

We meet at a cafe in Kendal, every two to three months throughout the year.
